STARTING CORRALS

The race will be split into 4 corrals to space runners out and give everyone a great racing experience. The letter on your race bib corresponds to your starting corral. Placement in corrals is determined by the estimated pace you provided during registration. All runners should be in their corrals by 8:15 AM. If you wish to run with a person who has been assigned a different corral you may move back to a later corral, but not forward to an earlier position. Volunteers will be in place to help guide you to the correct corral on race day!

PACE GROUPS

Sole of the City 10K has pace groups available for the half marathon. Beast Pacing will help you hit your goal time without the trouble of monitoring your GPS all morning! Plus, what could be better than running with a group of people shooting for the same time goal as you? Just look for the pacer sign in your assigned corral and join the group. Pace groups available this year include:

7:00/mile, 7:30/mile, 8:00/mile, 8:30/mile, 9:00/mile, 9:30/mile, 10:00/mile, 10:30/mile, 11:00/mile, 11:30/mile, 12:00/mile 13:00/mile, 14:00/mile, and 15:00/mile

PARKING

Arriving late and scrambling to park in the morning is not a fun way to start your race, so take the time to make a plan now!

Our friends at Harbor Point have opened up their onsite parking at a rate of $5 for race morning. If you plan to access this onsite parking please observe the following:

  1. The underground lot and garage are ONLY accessible via Caroline Street to Dock Street (see map below). Please follow signage onsite to direct you to these two locations. Best GPS address to use is 1399 Dock St, Baltimore, MD 21231 VIA Caroline Street.

  2. Please plan to be onsite in the 6:00 AM hour if you plan to utilize this parking. As streets narrow and traffic increases closer to race time delays will begin. You have been warned!

  3. Access to these lots will begin to close at 7:00 AM, or as soon as they are full! We do not recommend arriving to the race after 7:15 regardless, but if you are delayed on race morning you will not be able to access these lots as streets will begin to close.

  4. To expedite parking that morning you can download the Premium Parking app ahead of time, but we do not recommend pre-purchasing parking in case your plans change.

If you'd prefer more flexibility, you can check SpotHero for nearby lots and pricing info outside of Harbor Point. Please do not use SpotHero to purchase the onsite parking mentioned above as you will not have access to the $5 rate.

To reserve your parking spot for the Under Armour Sole of the City 10K presented by Kelly Benefits through SpotHero see below:

The following lots near the venue will NOT be accessible:

  • Harbor East Parking Garage - 1530 Thames St, Baltimore, MD 21231

  • Premium Parking P2320 - 1401 Thames St, Baltimore, MD 21231

To minimize delays on race day we recommend planning to arrive no later than 7:15 AM. Give yourself extra time to account for traffic or other unexpected surprises city driving can present!

SOLE OF THE CITY 10K TRAINING GROUPS

Our 8-week 10K training program is designed for beginner and intermediate-level runners who want to improve speed and endurance. Regardless of if you plan to race at the end of the program, this training group will help you develop a consistent running routine.
